Thanksgiving for Baptism
Holy Spirit
Performed by Cornerstone
There’s nothing worth more, That could ever come close
No thing can compare, You’re our living hope….
Your presence, Lord
I’ve tasted and seen, Of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free, And my shame is un-done…..
Your presence, Lord
Holy Spirit, You are welcome here
Come flood this place, And fill the atmosphere
Your glory, God, Is what our hearts long for.
To be overcome, By Your presence, Lord
Your presence, Lord
There’s nothing worth more, That could ever come close
No thing can compare, You’re our living hope….
Your presence, Lord
I’ve tasted and seen, Of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free, And my shame is un-done…..
Your presence, Lord
Holy Spirit, You are welcome here
Come flood this place, And fill the atmosphere
Your glory, God, Is what our hearts long for.
To be overcome, By Your presence, Lord
Your presence, Lord
Let us become more aware of Your presence
[Repeat Bridge x 3]
Holy Spirit, You are welcome here
Come flood this place, And fill the atmosphere
Your glory, God, Is what our hearts long for.
To be overcome, By Your presence, Lord
Your presence, Lord
Prayer of the Day:
Gracious and glorious God, you have chosen us as your own, and by the powerful name of Christ you protect us from evil. By your Spirit transform us and your beloved world, that we may find our joy in your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Sermon

Psalm 1
1 Happy are those
who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or take the path that sinners tread,
or sit in the seat of scoffers;
2 but their delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law they meditate day and night.
3 They are like trees
planted by streams of water,
which yield their fruit in its season,
and their leaves do not wither.
In all that they do, they prosper.
4 The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
6 for the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.
Bind Us Together
WOV Hymn 748
Played by Clara Beckett
Refrain
Bind us together, Lord,
bind us together with cords
that cannot be broken.
Bind us together, Lord,
bind us together, Lord;
bind us together in love.
There is only one God.
There is only one King.
There is only one Body;
that is why we can sing: Refrain
You are the family of God.
You are the promise divine.
You are God’s chosen desire,
you are the glorious new wine. Refrain

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever. Amen.
